We are working with a leading engineering and technology consultancy supporting complex security-critical projects across the German defence sector.
They are looking for a Cyber Security Engineer with a strong background in system hardening, infrastructure security and BSI standards to work across highly secure IT environments.
The Role
- Hardening Linux (RHEL) and Windows environments in line with BSI and Cert-BW requirements
- Developing and implementing security policies, procedures and hardening measures
- Automating security and hardening processes using Bash and PowerShell
- Securing and managing virtualised environments
- Hardening Active Directory environments
- Configuring and managing firewalls and network security technologies
- Conducting security assessments and audits
- Identifying vulnerabilities and implementing remediation measures
- Working closely with technical teams, project stakeholders and customers on wider security strategy
Your Profile
- Experience within IT Security, Cyber Security or System Administration
- Strong knowledge of Linux RHEL and/or Windows environments
- Experience with BSI security standards and hardening requirements
- Bash and/or PowerShell scripting experience
- Experience working with virtualised environments
- Knowledge of Active Directory
- Experience with firewalls and network security, ideally Cisco
- Very good German language skills
- Willingness to undergo security clearance
- Willingness to travel within Germany
