We are working with an established engineering and technology consultancy delivering Cyber Security projects within safety and security-critical environments.
They are looking for a Cyber Security Engineer to support a major project within the rail sector, focusing on security engineering for industrial and operational technology environments.
The Role
- Supporting Cyber Security engineering activities within complex rail systems
- Developing and implementing security concepts based on IEC 62443
- Carrying out security assessments and identifying technical risks and vulnerabilities
- Defining security requirements and controls for systems and components
- Supporting security architecture and system hardening activities
- Applying BSI IT-Grundschutz principles within engineering environments
- Supporting compliance with relevant Cyber Security regulation, including the Cyber Resilience Act where applicable
- Producing security documentation and technical artefacts throughout the project lifecycle
- Working closely with engineering teams, project stakeholders and customers
- Supporting Cyber Security activities from requirements through to implementation and verification
Your Profile
- Professional experience within Cyber Security, Security Engineering or OT/Industrial Security
- Strong knowledge of IEC 62443
- Experience with BSI IT-Grundschutz
- Understanding of security engineering within complex technical systems
- Experience developing security concepts, requirements or risk assessments
- Knowledge of the Cyber Resilience Act would be advantageous
- Rail industry experience is highly desirable
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
