A dynamic medium-sized insurance company that is part of one of the largest insurance groups in the world. They are also an insurance partner of one of the largest automobile manufacturers in the world, developing and selling outstanding insurance and financial services products for all brands within their partnership. Their German branch is based near Munich where a large part of the employees of their European IT organization, provide IT services across Europe reside with approx. 1,000 internal colleagues. Together with you, they want to successfully expand their Central IT Security Operations Center.
the role
You perform daily security tasks as part of their IT security management. You take responsibility for security-relevant tickets and alarms of the SIEM, among other things by evaluating priority, urgency and relevance. You identify and evaluate weak points in systems and applications. You support IT security-related projects on an operational level. You process incidents and changes according to the principles of the ITIL frameworks
Skills required
Essential Skills:
- More than 3 years of experience as part of an IT (security) operation team
- You bring work experience in reviewing various Log files and when using tools to scan security risks with (e.g. Qualys or Nessus)
- You are used to working in an environment that applies the principles of ITIL
- You have knowledge of the SOC and SIEM tools
- You have a good understanding of network protection technologies such as next-generation firewalls, DDoS solutions or WAF
- You can motivate yourself and like to get things done successfully
Desired Skills:
- You have excellent communication skills in English and German (spoken and written)
