SOC Analyst – Remote/Germany – Up to €70k DOE – 6024 APPLY NOW
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Supporting the setup and day-to-day operations of the SOC
- Monitoring security alerts and system logs to identify potential threats
- Assisting in the investigation and triage of security incidents
- Escalating confirmed or high-risk incidents to senior analysts
- Documenting incidents and actions taken within the ticketing and SIEM systems
- Supporting the implementation of security measures to protect client environments
- Assisting customers with initial response activities and system recovery under guidance
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of SOC processes and playbooks
Essential:
- Relevant degree e.g. Computer Science, Cyber Security etc.
- 1 to 3 years’ experience in a defensive security role (working student is fine)
- Basic understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, Firewalls)
- Foundational knowledge of Windows environments (e.g. Active Directory basics)
- Familiarity with SIEM or EDR tools (e.g. Splunk, QRadar, Sentinel) through work, internships, or labs
- Basic scripting knowledge (e.g. Python, Bash, or PowerShell) is advantageous
- Strong analytical thinking and willingness to learn modern attack techniques
- Strong written and verbal German C1 minimum
Desirable:
- Malware analysis
- Offensive security e.g. penetration testing experience
- Experience with cloud security
